Our Verdict:

As explained in the ‘Intro’ section below, Parimatch have gone about things in a rather unusual way, which includes leaving the day-to-day management of their UK/Ireland site in the safe and experienced hands of BetVictor, who certainly know a thing or two about running successful sports betting sites. So, it’s no surprise they’ve nailed most of the basics.

That includes offering a good selection of markets across 30+ sports, laying competitive odds and providing little extras that enhance a customer’s experience. Such as standings, line-ups and head-to-head records (pre-match), as well as useful real-time stats on the likes of football and tennis in live betting. They’ve also kept up with the times by boasting a good mobile app, offering Bet Builders (doing so for basketball is a bonus), Best Odds Guaranteed and embracing the increasing demand for eSports betting.

That means covering lots of different tournaments and providing live streaming of many of those eSports matches. Customers looking for fast pay-outs will be able to get them thanks to the option of using FastFunds. The choice of four different welcome offers depending on which sport(s) customers prefer, is a breath of fresh affair given all too many welcome offers these days are a little too similar.

But as is the case with most newish betting sites (they have less than three years under their belts in the UK), there’s work to be done. Not when it comes to the big things but rather, the extras. They’re advised to increase their live streaming offering, extend their payment options and above all, will need to have more ongoing promos to keep customers engaged and feeling like they’re getting something back on a regular basis.

But they already have most bases covered and will surely only get better.

Strengths:

  • Take your pick from four completely different welcome offers
  • Excellent eSports product
  • FastFunds option allows for speedy withdrawals
  • Useful data such as head-to-head records and team line-ups provided for numerous sports
  • Bet Builders available on football and basketball
  • Lots of ways to contact Customer Service

Weaknesses:

  • Little in the way of ongoing promotions
  • Limited payment options available
  • Live streaming not as extensive as at other sites
  • Need to bet on the race to watch horse racing in live streaming

Intro

Parimatch are a curious combination of a site that’s been around a long time (since 1994) in other countries but only for three years in the UK market. There’s a lot to like about Parimatch, meaning the expression ‘tell me who your friends are, and I’ll tell you who you are’ certainly rings true here.

By friends, we mean the likes of Bet Victor, the super-experienced UK betting site who manage the Parimatch site, as well as other big-name brands who work in partnership with them. Premier League clubs Chelsea, Newcastle and Aston Villa use Parimatch as betting partners, while they’re also commercially associated with Conor McGregor and eSports organisation Fnatic.

Heavyweight boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk acts as a brand ambassador with special focus on responsible gambling. They’re now registered in Gibraltar but hold the UK Gambling Commission License, which is always a good sign. They make a point of focusing strongly on responsible gambling for players’ own safety, as well as the safety of players’ money and data.

Sign Up offer

Let’s get this Parimatch review underway by looking at the Parimatch sign-up offer.

The sign-up offer

The vast majority of bookmakers we review here have just the one welcome offer. A couple we’ve come across have two, but this betting site is in a league of its own by offering no fewer than four Parimatch sign-up offers!

That’s the good news: four welcome offers. Now to the bad news: you can only claim one of these four when opening an account.

But back to the good news: they’re all somewhat different in terms of the offer itself, and how it works, but are totally different in terms of the sports you can use them on. So, we’re going to focus mainly on the more generic of the four, before briefly explaining how the others work, as well.

Betting £10 on any sports betting market at odds of 2.0 or greater will see you awarded 4x £5 bets to use on a combination of sports of your choice, and different football bets.

Notable terms and conditions

  • Both the qualifying bet and the free bets must be placed at odds of 2.0 or greater.
  • Only deposits made with debit cards will see you get rewarded with the free bets.
  • The qualifying bet must be placed within 7 days of opening your account, while the free bets must each be used within 7 days of being awarded to you.
  • Your qualifying bets can’t Cashed Out or partially Cashed Out.
  • None of the free bets can be used on horse racing or any virtual sports.

How to claim your welcome bonus

  • Opt into the promotion via the Offers tab.
  • Make a debit card deposit for at least £10 and place a qualifying bet on any sport at odds of 2.0 or greater.
  • You’ll receive these free bets within 24 hours of the qualifying bet being settled.:
  • £5 Free Bet on any sport except for horse racing.
  • £5 free bet on any football market.
  • £5 free bet on a Football Bet Builder made up of at least three selections.
  • £5 free bet on any sports market (except racing).
  • Each of the four bets can be placed as one bet or broken down into smaller bets. For example, the ‘£5 free bet on any football market’ can be placed as 2x £2.50 bets.

So that’s the more general of the four welcome offers explained. You can however take your pick from one these three, instead.

  • Horseracing welcome offer- Bet £10 Get £30 in horse racing free bets.
  • Combat sports welcome offer- Bet £10 Get £40 in combat sports free bets.
  • Esports welcome offer- Bet £10 Get £30.

As you can see, the qualifying bet remains the same in all cases, but the value of the free bets actually varies from one welcome offer to another. The generic one we looked at is the one that actually gives you the smallest amount in free bets. Meaning that if you’re into horse racing, combat sports or eSports, you might as well choose one of those, instead.

They all work in a similar way to the one we described in detail but do read the specific terms and conditions for each one, so you know precisely what to do. Final reminder that you can only claim one of them as a new customer. So, choose carefully!

Ongoing Promotions

The Parimatch promotions beyond the welcome offer were a bit thin on the ground when we checked, though it’s worth pointing out that casino players have a few casino offers to look forward to, as well. But maybe with sports betting it was just the case that at that particular moment, they didn’t have any promos going and that at other times they have more; we certainly hope so.

But here’s what they do currently have:

Run for your money

It’s one thing your horse not racing particularly well because it wasn’t quick enough, didn’t pace itself well or didn’t jump cleanly. But what you really don’t want is for it to be out of contention with no chance of winning before the race has got underway.

The Parimatch definition of you getting a ‘run for your money’ is: ‘Refuse to whip around at the start, fail to come out or lose all chance at the stalls’. If any of the above happens and your horse doesn’t start the race properly, you’ll be refunded your stake. The offer is available on all UK and Irish races.

Betting Markets and bet types

Parimatch betting is available across over 35-40 different sports depending on the day, meaning just about every sport you’d expect to be there, is available for wagering on. Let’s start off by taking a look at their mainstream sports and what you can look forward to when betting on them.

Other sports

So those are the most popular sports here at Parimatch and what stands about each one when betting on them. But let’s take a look at a couple of other sports they do particularly well.

Esports

We’ve told you about their eSports-themed welcome offer, but we haven’t yet told you about their actual eSports product. It’s one of the ones they’re really pushing, which explains why they’ve got so many contests to bet on. The games they cover include League of Legends, Counter-Strike, Valorant, Dota 2 and NBA eSports Battle.

Each match has at least seven different markets to bet on and they’re right up there with the best of them when it comes to how many leagues from all over the world they cover; it’s not just the major events. Live streaming of eSports contests is available for most matches, but not quite all of them.

UFC

If eSports are the latest betting obsession at the moment, then the one before that was UFC. They’re big on combat sports here at Parimatch as you can see from the fact that one of their four welcome offers was based around them. Their UFC offering is a good one with all the big fights covered, at least six markets to bet, all of them going in-play and very competitive odds on offer.

If you like the sound of UFC betting but don’t know too much about it, just scroll down to the bottom of the UFC betting section. There’s some great content explaining how a UFC fight unfolds, how you win it, the markets available to bet on and what makes a champion fighter in comparison to the contender who never quite gets over the line.

Betting Odds

So how are the Parimatch betting odds? One way to find out is to take a look at two of their biggest upcoming matches. Here’s what the odds were ahead of Manchester City v Inter Milan in the Champions League final:

Man City- 2/5
Draw- 10/3
Inter- 6/1

House edge: 7.1%

And here’s what they were ahead of the big England v Australia 1st Test in the Ashes, in Test cricket.

England- 6/5
Draw- 4/1
Australia- 11/8

House edge: 7.56%

So, in both cases, that’s a house edge of just over 7%; we’ve seen a bit better, and we’ve also seen considerably worse. So, they’re pretty much bang in the middle. You certainly know you’re not getting ripped off on price here.

Betting Features

Now is the time in this Parimatch betting review where we look at the features they have that customers can enjoy and which make their lives easier when betting, or somehow add greater value.

Bet Builder

Just about every betting site these days offers Bet Builders. But there are Bet Builders and Bet Builders and the ones here for football give you lots of choice, where in addition to the obvious markets such as the winner, goals, cards and corners, you can also include selections involving Player Stats.

For good measure, the product is also available in high-profile basketball matches, including of course those from the NBA.

Live Streaming

They’re not in a position to compete with the likes of Bet365 or Betfair in this regard, but they do have some live streaming available. Watching a UK or Ireland horserace will require a bet of at least £1 on the race, while the service is also available (for free, just need funds in your account) for football, tennis and most notably, eSports.

Mobile App

The Parimatch betting app is available on both Android and iOS. Customers can also choose to just use the mobile web browser as well, so as to avoid the downloading process, which works just as well.

For more info on downloading betting apps, visit our mobile betting apps page. Clicking on the Android/iOS logos at the bottom of the Parimatch homepage will also take you to where you need to go to download them, complete with all the necessary instructions. It’s a good app, looking and working very similar to the desktop version.

Customer Support

Your first port of call to deal with any queries should always be the FAQs section. You can either click on one of the eight categories and find a strong selection of questions with that method, or just start typing in the search box and the most relevant questions will pop up that way. If that doesn’t work, you can get in touch via phone, e-mail, Live Chat, Twitter or Facebook. One good feature is the request-a-call, where they’ll call you back at a later time over the phone, rather than there and then.
Customer Service is available 24/7 and we found the agents to be helpful, knowledgeable and extremely polite.

Deposit/Withdrawal Options

No bookmaker can excel or have endless variety of options when it comes to everything and in the case of Parimatch, one area where they’re not quite as well-stacked is when it comes to payment options. You can deposit and withdraw using debit cards and PayPal only. They also list credit cards but that’s for non-UK and Ireland customers, because as we know, credit cards are no longer a valid payment option in Ireland and the UK. It’s listed there because customers from other countries are still allowed to use them.

But if a lack of payment options is the bad news, the good news is that there are no fees charged whatsoever on either deposits or withdrawals. Furthermore, they offer FastFunds withdrawals, available to VISA users only, where their bank provides this facility. FastFunds allow you to get your money in your account just 30 minutes after requesting it, though that’s also subject to any last-minute checks that Parimatch may have to do themselves. So, it may take just a little longer.

Parimatch big on Brazilian women’s football

Parimatch is the new sponsor of the Paulista Women’s Football Championship, a competition made up of 12 teams, which is made up of a league stage, a semi-final and the big final. Parimatch’s logos will be placed on advertising signs in the stadium, on interview backdrops, behind the two goals and on the league’s social media networks.

“We believe in the potential of female players and want to contribute to the development of the sport in Brazil. Parimatch is a company that breathes sport and that always seeks to offer the best betting opportunities for our customers”, said Maksym Tsaryk, director of Parimatch Brazil. The sponsorship is part of Parimatch’s strategy of making Brazil one of their most important markets.

FAQ

No. They’re two completely separate companies. However, the UK version of Parimatch is managed by Bet Victor, using Bet Victor software. Which is why the two sites may have a similar feel to them and may also have similar betting markets and offers.

Yes, they offer this on all UK and Ireland horseraces. The offer is valid on all bets placed on the day of the race after 9am UK time and applies to win and each/way bets.
