Betfair’s extra places offer is being promoted under the banner ‘each way edge’ and is one of many exciting and generous promotions available on the Betfair sportsbook and exchange sites, others including free bets for new customers. This offer only applies to each-way singles placed at fixed odds and can’t be used on accumulators, multiples or SP bets. It also can’t be used alongside another promotion currently live on the site. Boylesports Extra Places Offer
Boylesports are traditionally a great bookie for horseracing betting and promotions revolving around it so it’s no surprise they have a good ‘extra places’ offer going. Normally Boylesports pays out `1/5 odds in each-way betting on Top 3 places but on selected races every day- generally 4-5 of them- they will pay out on 4 places, instead of 3. That means that if you backed a horse each-way and it finishes in fourth place, you’ll still be paid out at those odds of 1/5 in relation to the win price of the horse in question. Customers should note that a) it’s only valid on the selected races that Boylesports chooses on a daily basis b) this doesn’t include ante-post bets c) does not apply to in-running bets and d) there are special rules regarding the number of runners who must take part in the race for the offer to kick in.
Coral Extra Places Offer
Coral also have extra places promos going on horseracing, but theirs work a bit differently. Rather than the offer always being the same like the Boylesports one above, the exact terms change from one race to another. For example, on Tuesday December 19 2023, they had the extra places offer on 8 different races that day, including:
- 12.40 Fakenham – 1/5 the odds 1-2-3 (enhanced from 1/4 the odds 1-2). Standard place terms will apply if 6 or fewer horses run.
- 14.30 Catterick – 1/5 the odds 1-2-3-4 (enhanced from 1/4 the odds 1-2-3). Standard place terms will apply if 10 or fewer horses run.
In other words, in both cases the extra places terms are advantageous to the customer but the odds themselves and the number of places that applies to can change from one race to another.
