Premier League – Luton Town v West Ham United – Friday 1st September

Both Brighton and Newcastle suffered defeats last weekend, so both will be looking to bounce back this week.

Brighton suffered a surprise defeat at home to West Ham and conceding three goals at home was very much unlike the Seagulls, who have set such a high standard over last season and into the start of this season.

Alexander Isak of Newcastle United and Fred of Manchester United

The newly promoted side must improve defensively to compete in the Premier League as they welcome West Ham this Friday who are hugely confident with Antonio and Bowed in excellent form and new signing James Ward Prowse starting his West Ham career well.

West Ham lost Declan Rice in the summer and questions were raised over the void he would leave, but they have been galvanized by their Europa Conference League win and carried on from where they left off.

West Ham opened the season with a 1-1 away at Bournemouth with Bowen on the score sheet. They then beat Chelsea 3-1 with Aguerd, Antonio and Paqueta getting the goals. The most impressive part of this win was the way James Ward Prowse settled into the team with two assists.

Then West Ham headed off to the AMEX and delivered a superb performance by beating Brighton 3-1 with Ward Prowse scoring his first goal for the Hammers. Bowen and Antonio added to their goal tally and this was a huge scalp for the London side as Brighton were favourites to win the game.

David Moyes is doing a magnificent job for West Ham and the positive way they are playing this season can bring them another three points on Friday night. With an XG of 2.40 from their game versus Brighton with 12 goal attempts and 7 on target can only bode well as the season progresses.

It’s another tall order for Luton Town who will do well to stop this Hammers side. But it’s the first Premier League game at Kenilworth Road and maybe something special can happen

West Ham are flying right now and full of confidence. Back to back 3-1 wins in the Premier League against Chelsea and Brighton will give their fans massive hope that this season can be a good one.

With a trip to Luton Town on Friday night, Bowen and Antonio will be licking their lips to add to their Premier League goal tally this season and with Ward Prowse settling in well, he can once again use his magic wand of a right foot to either score or assist.

For Luton Town, the last team they want to welcome to Kenilworth Road is West Ham, but they can put pressure on The Hammers and score a goal.

Our punters.pub bet of the day is West Ham to win and both teams to score at 3/1 with Bet365.
