International Friendly – Scotland v England – Tuesday 12th September

Scotland face England in an international friendly and this could not have come at a better time for Steve Clarke’s men. Scotland have started their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign superbly well and with a 100% record from their opening 5 games.

The main man has undoubtedly been Manchester United’s Scott Mctominay who has saved his best football for his national side and for this European Qualifying campaign. With 6 goals in 5 matches, Mctominay has been a man possesses as he has led his national team really well.

Scotland national football team coach Steve Clarke at a press conference.

After a 3-0 win over Cyprus in their opening qualifying match back in March, Scotland defeated top European side Spain 2-0 with Mctominay scoring both. This was a massive result for Scotland and their confidence took a huge boost.

Next up was an away trip to Norway and facing Erling Haaland. This was no problem for Scotland as they won 2-1, with two late goals from Dykes and McLean. This result was huge dor Scotland as they put two consecutive big performances together.

WIth experienced players such as Kieren Tierney and Andy Roberton in their side, along with John McGinn, Scotland are a really strong group, which has going all the way to Euro 2024!

A 2-0 win over Georgia at home in June was followed up by a 3-0 away win in Cyprus leaving Steve Clarke’s men in dreamland! Scotland have never started a campaign as well as this and they now entertain England!

England are one of the main favourites for Euro 2024 and with world class players such as Harry Kane, Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka and Jude Bellingham in the side, they come into this friendly match, knowing their opponents are going to be ready to show why they are unbeaten in their group qualifying campaign.

England drew 1-1 with Ukraine away on Saturday and do have some injuries to top players such as John Stones and Jack Grealish, so it’s likely some of the squad players will get a chance to impress Gareth Southgate.

This is sure to be a tough encounter for England, but should be a really entertaining game!

Scotland are playing with an all time high confidence and with a faultless and 100% record from their opening five group games, including a 2-0 home win over Spain, they entertain England in an international friendly, ready to cause an upset.

England won’t be looking forward to this match, but with more quality on show, can they bring Scotland down to earth, or will the Scots continue their fine form.

Our best bet of the day for this is Scotland v England to be a draw at 14/5 with Bet365. A tough game for England is in store and Scotland will do enough to get a draw from this match.
