Manchester City v Sheffield United – FA Cup Semi-Final – Saturday 22 April

The Manchester City Juggernaut continues on and next up for them is the FA Cup semi-final against Championship Sheffield United. Everything is now kicking into gear for Manchester City and whether it’s the Premier League, FA Cup or Champions League, no one is standing in their way at the minute.

Pep Guardiola has his eyes firmly on the treble now and they can take one step further by comfortably beating Sheffield United, who have had a brilliant season in the Championship and are destined to return to the Premier League.

At odds of ⅙ to win the the game, Manchester City aren’t a bet in the match winner market, so we will look to share a value bet for the match in our best bet section.

It’s highly likely Pep will rotate his squad and rest some of the star players as next week they host Arsenal at home in the Premier League, so a win in that one, can all but give them another Premier League title.

The FA Cup hasn’t been Manchester City’s key trophy in recent years and Pep will want to get his hands on the trophy. Rotating his squad can see Rihad Mahrez and Alvarez given starts and could also feature Kalvin Phillips as well.

For Sheffield United, they’ve beaten Spurs 1-0 at home on their way to the FA Cup semi-finals and have made it through to this stage a few times in recent years, only to fall short against superior opposition.

Punters Pub Best Bet – Manchester City v Sheffield United – FA Cup Semi-Final

As mentioned above, there is no value backing Manchester City to win this at odds of ⅙. So we have been looking for value elsewhere to put up. We do like the look of Manchester City to win 3-0 with Unibet at 13/2, but our punters.bet for this match will be Manchester City to win to Nil at Evens (Evs) with Bet365.

We don’t see Sheffield United troubling Manchester City and with the City defence looking pretty strong in recent weeks, Manchester can win the game without letting in a goal.

Manchester United v Brighton – FA Cup Semi-Final – Sunday 23 April

This is the FA Cup semi-final to get excited about. Brighton are having a superb season so far. Sitting well positioned in the Premier League for a place in Europe next season, and with an outside chance of the Champions League, Roberto De Zerbi has done a brilliant job since taking over from Graham Potter earlier on this season.

De Zerbi has taken Brighton to another level, and the consistency in their play is there for all to see with notable wins over Arsenal in the Carabao Cup, Spurs away, Liverpool at home in the Premier League and FA CUp and Chelsea away to name a few.

Brighton have so much quality in their side with a great style of attacking play with Mac Allister flying now following his World Cup heroics, Solly March has raised his game to another level and not to mention Mitoma, who has been a sensation this season, causing defences lots of problems.

Caicedo in centre midfield is one player all the top clubs are after and should he put in another top performance on Sunday, then his potential transfer fee could rise again.

For Manchester United, they come into this with a number of injuries and will need to be at their best defensively to stop Brighton.

Punters Pub Best Bet – Manchester United v Brighton  – FA Cup Semi-Final

Brighton are in great form and come into this match ready to reach their first FA Cup Final since 1983. It’s been such a long wait for Brighton to regain top flight status, but with Tony Bloom at the helm, he has done miracles with the Club and transformed them into a force to be reckoned with as an Owner.

The betting market shows how far Brighton have come as in previous seasons Manchester United would be much stronger favourites.

Our Punters.pub best bet is Brighton to win the game in 90 minutes at 7/5 with Coral. Coming into this in much better form, scoring plenty and full of confidence, Brighton can embrace the Wembley stage and put in a winning performance.
