Brighton v Manchester United – Premier League – Thursday 4th May

Brighton bounced back from their FA Cup defeat to their opponent in this match up with a 6-0 demolition of Wolves. The home side put on a show for their fans and impressed with the free flowing football they play.

Brighton bounced back from their FA Cup defeat to their opponent in this match up with a 6-0 demolition of Wolves. The home side put on a show for their fans and impressed with the free flowing football they play.

The FA Cup semi-final penalty shoot out loss to Manchester United was heartbreaking for the fans and squad having played so well in the game, but a lack of quality finishing meant they were unable to win the game in 90 minutes.

The Seagulls under Roberto De Zerbi have put on some outstanding performances at the AMEX this season including beating Liverpool twice in the League and FA Cup and also running Arsenal very close.

A couple of injuries in recent weeks hasn’t helped Brighton, but they have had some big wons of late including a 2-1 away win over Chelsea and impressive wins over West Ham and Bournemouth.

Defeat at Nottingham Forest was a surprise to a few, but they will relish the chance to avenge the FA Cup semi-final loss and complete a League double over Manchester United for the first time.

The star man for Brighton has been Caicedo and his partnership with Mac Allister in centre midfield enables The Seagulls to dominate games and with March and Mitoma on the flanks, they have fire power to score goals.

Manchester United have a much deeper squad than the home side and this may play a part given Welback and Ferguson are out injured, meaning Brighton won’t have a recognised top striker on the pitch.

The Red Devils have all but secured a Champions League place with a win over Aston Villa and securing a point at Spurs last week and this kept them clear in 4th position. Jaden Sancho scored a lovely goal against Spurs and will be ready to add to his tally against Brighton.

Marcus Rashford is back fit now and this may be the ultimate factor in the visitors competing much better in this game, and being able to capitalize on the long season for Brighton with their small squad.

Expect this to be a close game, as it was in the FA Cup semi-final and although we’re likely to see goals in this one, there may not be alot between the sides

Brighton v Manchester United – Premier League – Thursday 4th May

Roberto De Sebri has done a brilliant job this season with this Brighton side and their football at times has been outstanding. A 6-0 win over Wolves helped them gain confidence after the FA Cup semi-final loss and defeat at Nottingham Forest.

At the start of the FA Cup Semi-final Brighton were favourites in the betting and did everything but score against Manchester United. A cruel penalty loss with Solly March hitting the decisive penalty over the bar was the deciding factor and Brighton will be out to avenge that loss.

With very little to separate the teams, our Punters.Pub bet for Brighton v Manchester United is the game to finish as a draw at11/4 with William Hill. A speculative correct score would be 2-2 which is 14/1 with Bet365 is worth a small wager.
