Premier League: Aston Villa v Arsenal – Saturday 9th December – KO 5.30pm

Arsenal sit top of the League and have now won a few games with last minute and injury time goals.

On Tuesday night Declan Rice scored a massive goal for Arsenal as they won a 4-3 entertaining game away at newly promoted Luton Town. Goals from Martinelli, Jesus, Havertz and Rice gave Arsenal a huge win in what was a tough game for them.

Arsenal's Kai Havertz celebrates his goal during a Soccer Champions Tour match between the Arsenal F.C. and the FC Barcelona in Inglewood, Calif

It shows the character of the team that Arsenal keep going and continue to play with calmness to create chances for the team to score.

One area of concern for Arsenal is in defence as Goalkeeper Raya was at fault for two of the three goals that Luton Town scored and also two of the goals came from corners.

Attacking wise Arsenal continue to play superb football and score plenty of goals with goals coming from all over the pitch and some great play in the build up to the goals.

Saka’s quick thinking helped set up the opening goal and then Ben White played a lovely part in the second goal with a delicate cross for Jesus to score. The third goal saw Jesus beautifully hold off the Luton Town centre back and lay a perfect ball for Havertz to score.

Finally, captain Odegaard delivered a delicious cross for Rice to head in to send the Arsenal players and fans into hysteria as they celebrated a goal with the last kick of the game.

Aston Villa will cause Arsenal many problems as their home form has been exceptional this season. Former Arsenal Manager Emery was close to beating Arsenal last season, but for a couple of late goals, which saw Arsenal win.

Unai Emery is doing the great job with Aston Villa and they will look to keep their ‘Top4’ hopes in check as they welcome the leaders to Villa Park. Striker Watkins is in fine form and with McGinn and Luiz running midfield they have a lot of energy about them.

They do, though have a high line which could play into the hands of Arsenal, but scoring 2+ goals in their home games, Arsenal will have to defend a lot better than they did on Tuesday.

It promises to be another Premier League classic with plenty of goals!

Former Arsenal boss Unai Emery will be eager to get one over his former employees as Aston Villa hope to continue their fine home form this season. Aston Villa are in the running for a ‘Top4’ place and they can cause many problems for Arsenal.

With both teams very attacking and looking to play on the front foot, this promised to be a game with plenty of goals. Last season a 3-2 win for Arsenal saw them take all three points and it wouldn’t surprise us to see plenty of goals in this one.

Therefore, our bet of the day is 13/8 with Bet365 that there will be over 3.5 goals in the match.
