Premier League: Chelsea v Brentford – Sat 28th October – 12.30pm

Chelsea played a great 70 minutes against Arsenal last weekend and will feel they did enough to beat their London rivals. However a last gasp comeback by Arsenal saw Declan Rice and Leo Trossard claw back 2 goals and the match end in a 2-2 Draw.

The Blues were physical, hunted in packs and stopped Arsenal playing. If they show the same intensity this weekend at home to Brentford, they can grab all three points.

There were many positives for Chelsea including Gallagher and Sterling, plus Cole Palmer is now fitting into the set up of the side and with Caicedo also playing with so much more confidence, this Chelsea side can grow as the season progresses.

Defensively Thiago Silva rolled back the years and made many saving tackles against Arsenal and will have to be way of the Brentford attack as they will pose problems for Chelsea.

Unfortunately Goal Keeper Sanchez was at fault for Arsenal’s first goal last weekend as a bad pass saw Rice score from outside the box in a freak goal. Sacnhez will have to do a lot better this week to show he can be Chelsea’s number 1.

Mudryk scored in the win over Arsenal and he is also gaining with confidence. Some will say he didn’t mean his goal and it was a cross, but you can tell in his play he is looking a lot better than he played towards the end of last season and this could be another game for him to shine.

The west London rivals Brentford come into this match on the back of a 3-0 comfortable win over Burnley last weekend and goals from Wissa, Mbuemo and Ghoddos will give them massive belief they can continue this fine form and take something from the game against Chelsea.

Mbuemo and Wissa especially, it was good to see them get on the score sheet as they are a potent threat for defences and if Chelsea give Brentford a sniff, then the Bees will be ready to pounce and cause a big upset.
Chelsea are the favourites in this one as it’s plain to see they have seen an upturn in form and should get the job done against Brentford, but the Bees will cause Chelsea problems if they have the opportunity to play.

Chelsea threw away a two goal lead last week against Arsenal and will taking that motivation into this home game. As they welcome Brentford, Chelsea will look to start on the front foot and ensure they do not let slip a lead, should they get one.

Scoring goals is becoming easier for Chelsea and they can add to their tally this weekend, but Brentford will not make it easy.

Our punters.pub bet of the day is Chelsea to win and both teams to score at 5/2 with Bet365.
