As expected England put in a convincing display in Malta to make it three wins out of three in the Euro 2024 group stages and another convincing win over North Macedonia will all but seal England’s qualification to next summer’s tournament where England will be one of the favourites to win.
Harry Kane led the line against Malta and added to his goal tally with a penalty. After an 8 minute own goal, Trent Alexander Arnold scored a fantastic goal as he continues to play in his new position. Kane’s penalty was number three for England before Callum Wilson scored a late penalty to make it 4-0 as correctly predicted by us at Punters.pub in our bet of the day.
The visitors to Wembley on Monday evening are North Macedonia who caused a huge upset in qualifying for the World Cup by knocking out Italy in a play-off. They played a very entertaining game on Friday in a 2-3 loss at home to Ukraine. The North Macedonian side went 2-0 up before half time, but Ukraine, led by an inspired Mudryk scored 2 goals in 5 minutes mid way through the 2nd half before scoring a late winner.
This will have shocked the North Macedonian’s, who as a country have improved over the years and that showed by them making the World Cup play-offs and taking a place in the World Cup last year.
Gareth Southgate is likely to rotate the team given it looks like Bakayo Saka picked up an injury against Malta. More of Man City’s treble winning side are expected to make the team on Monday and Phil Foden is one of them. Marcus Rashford could also be given a start at Wembley as could John Stones.
Playing with such confidence England should win comfortably as the curtain draws on a long season which saw Manchester City winning the treble and in the middle a quarter final exit by England to the hands of France.
A mention to Harry Kane who broke the all time England goalscorer record and continues to be relentless in extending his lead at the top of the charts.

Our bet of the play on Friday for England’s trip to Malta of a 4-0 win delivered for Punters.pub so hope you all were able to follow us.
England return to Wembley and will win the game, but this may be tougher than the game against Malta. North Macedonia will be aggressive and play well on the counter attack. England will naturally dominate the ball and with world class players on show, England will be expected to score a few goals.
Our bet of the day at punters.pub is England to win 3-0 against North Macedonia at 5/1 with Bet365 and we recommend an anytime goalscorer pick on Phil Foden at 8/5 with William Hill to get on the scoresheet.
