Wimbledon Men’s Tennis – The Final – Djokovic v Alcaraz – Sunday 16th July

The number 1 and number 2 seeds in this years Wimbledon face off at Wimbledon is what is predicted to be one of the best Wimbledon Tennis Men’s final. Veteran Novak Djokovic has looked sublime all tournament faces the young kid on the block Carlos Alcaraz from Spain.

Both Djokovic and Alcaraz have breezed through to the Wimbledon Finals and are both playing outstanding tennis. Alcaraz played superb tennis in his semi-final win over Medvedev winning in straight sets 6-3, 6-3,6-3, however, although winning comfortably, in the final set there was many breaks of serve, and when it comes to the Wimbledon Final, Alcaraz can’t afford to offer so many breakpoints as Djokovic will take advantage of this.

Novak Djokovic faced Carlos Alcaraz in the final of the French Open earlier this year at Roland Garros and if it wasn’t for Alcaraz injury during this match, Alcaraz could have secured a major win over Djokovic. In the end, Djokovic won the match and secured another Grand Slam victory.

Alcaraz is now fully fit and is likely to give Djokovic a severe test in this Wimbledon final. With a huge amount of energy and aggression, with good accuracy as well, Alcaraz has the class to take this Wimbledon title, but at key points in the match on Sunday, Alcaraz has to deliver.

Djokovic will be well aware of Alcaraz’ class and energy and he himself will have to play at the top of his game to win a record breaking 8th Wimbledon title. The pressure will be on Djokovic to deliver and he doesn’t want this to be a changing of the guard as the young Spanish wonder kid takes Djokovic’s crown.

Eventually Alcaraz will win many Grand Slam titles if he continues to perform at such a high level, but on Sunday, Alcaraz has the chance to topple one of the greatest tennis players of all time.

With a great service and a variety of clever shots, Alcaraz will be looking to vary his play against Djokovic to cause him problems. Alcaraz will have to get under his skin and cause him to think differently to win this final.
It’s expected this Wimbledon final will be a 4 or 5 set match and our view echoes this as it could well go down to a final set shoot-out.
