Harry Maguire was surplus to requirement during most of last season and his appearances came mainly in Cup competitions and then a cameo appearance at the end of the game when Manchester United were ahead and he was introduced to secure the victory.

During his time at Manchester United Harry Maguire has found it difficult to put in consistent performances and make the position his own. When Erik Ten Hag came in as Manager he looked to bring in more mobile players and although Harry is strong in the air, he is not the quickest centre back.

When Ten Hag signed Martinez and Varane, this put pressure on Maguire, plus when Luke Shaw was played at Centre Back, this seemed to be the beginning of the end for Maguire and his long term future has now been put firmly in doubt.

For England, Maguire is one of the first teams on the team sheet due to the way England play, which play to his strengths and Maguire seems more comfortable in an England shirt and has shown this via a number of goals in key matches.

For Manchester United, the leaked goals during season 21/22 and at the beginning of this season, Manchester United didn’t start that well and Maguire’s time on the pitch in the Premier League was limited.

With Euro24 next summer, Maguire will need games and to get regular football, it is likely he will look to move on during this summer. Leading his signature are Tottenham, who under new management will be keen to add the experience of Maguire. However, there won’t be any European football for him at Spurs, but a good chance to be a first team choice.

Aston Villa and Newcastle offer European Football, so they could be a bigger factor, though he may not be first choice for them.

Looking at Conor Gallagher at Chelsea, he is very likely to move on and 5/1 Brighton with Bet365 seem a good move for him as they suit his style of play and can be a great addition to their squad.

Summer Transfer Window – Club after Summer Transfer Window

Harry Maguire looks like he will leave Manchester United this summer and although 5/4 with Bet365 for him to still be a Manchester United player at the end of the summer transfer window, at punters.pub, we believe the 4/1 with Bet365 for Maguire to move to Tottenham is going to happen.

It makes sense that Maguire will become first choice, and with the new management team at Tottenham, a fresh start can do his career the world of good.
