The big guns are at the head of the market this week for the BMW Championship in Chicago. Rory Mcllroy, Scottie Scheffler and John Rahm are all set to feature and add another trophy to their name. Priced at 15/2, 8/1 9/1 with Paddy Power, it’s not surprising that they dominate the top of the betting.
However it’s easy to pick holes in each of them as Rory has shown some inconsistency of late in this game, Scheffler is still having putting issues and John Rahm hasn’t put four solid rounds together since his Masters win.
Patrick Cantlay is next in the betting and is a back to back winner of the tournament and would make history by winning the event for a third time in a row. Cantlay is playing great Golf and you wouldn’t rule him out at 12/1 to go close again.
Viktor Hovland and Max Homa are definitely players to watch as they can thrive at this course and be ready to pounce on the final day on Sunday. Both Hovland and Homa are driving well and their short game is very impressive. They won’t be far away on Sunday at 18/1 and 25/1 respectively.
One player who is showing a return to his old top game is Jordan Spieth. Finishing T6 last week at Fed Ex St Jude Championship, Spieth definitely has the capabilities to navigate the course well this week and be well in contention in the final round. One to follow at 28/1.
It would also be foolish of us not to put up a mention for Lucas Gloves at 40/1. Glover was a player we tipped up last month and since then has just delivered back to back wins on the Tour and shown his return to outstanding form and consistency and will be putting pressure on the US Team for a place in the Ryder Cup later this year.

Our punters.pub bet of the day are:
Viktor Hovland 18/1 Each-way 1/5 the odds 6 places with Betfair
Viktor Hovland is playing solid Golf and this week could well be his week to shine. He is likely to enjoy this course and with accurate driving, his short game can put him in the frame on Sunday. Definitely a player to side with this week.
Jordan Spieth 28/1 Each-way 1/5 the odds 6 places with BetWay
Spieth is showing a lot of confidence in his play and played really well last week. Continual improvement in consistency and secure putting this week can definitely see Spieth get in the frame of winning a PGA Tour event and at 28/1, it’s a nice price to get involved.
