Manchester City v Manchester United – FA Cup Final – Saturday 3rd June 2023

Manchester City have completed the first leg of the ‘treble’ by winning the Premier League with an incredible run of form since March and are now eyeing the 2nd part of what would be an historic achievement, by beating rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup Final.

Pep Guardiola’s side have played brilliantly to go on a winning run that has seen them brush Arsenal a side in the Premier League and and in the FA Cup they have cruised through to the final with ease. Plus in the Champions League, they will face Inter Milan in the Final, having knocked out the holders Real Madrid.

The key to Manchester City’s run has been their superb attacking play with Erling Haaland leading the line, but what has been so impressive is they aren’t given teams chances to breach their goal. Impressive Rodri and John Stones have been sublime in their roles, plus with Walker and Ake at full backs, Manchester City have pace and power to give teams little chances to score.

Once the defence is on top form, you are never going to be able to stop Manchester City in front of goal with Haaland, Grealish, Foden, De Bruyne and Mahrez all pouncing to score. Plus with Alvarez coming off the bench and Gundogen and Silva having a knack of scoring important goals, it’s impossible to stop the Manchester City side.

One defeat Manchester City did encounter this season was 2-1 defeat to Manchester United in the League and they will be aware of the pace of Marcus Rashford who caused them problems at Old Trafford.

Manchester United have already won the League Cup at Wembley this season and after securing Champions League football for next year, they come into this match as big outsiders to cause a surprise. It’s not often Manchester United are 11/2 to win a game in 90 minutes.

But, with Manchester City blowing everyone away in front of them, this is sure to be a Cup Final with a lot at stake as Manchester CIty are looking to replicate Manchester United’s treble of 1999.

Manchester United aren’t free scoring recently with a few 1-0 wins of late, which shows defensively they are improving, but it will be tough to top the Premier League champions, who will be gunning for victory.

Punters Pub Best Bet –

Manchester City v Manchester United – FA Cup Final – Saturday 3rd June 2023

Manchester City are odds on at ½ to win the FA Cup Final over Manchester United and at Punters.pub we will look for other markets to secure profit. Our best value selection for the FA Cup Final is 11/10 Manchester City to win in 90mins and under 4.5 goals in the game and complete the domestic double of Premier League and FA cup success.

With Manchester United’s defence improving in recent weeks and looking to stay in the Cup Final, it may take Manchester City a while to break down their defence, but given the relentless attacking style of Manchester City, the deadlock will be broken and Manchester City will win, with under 4.5 goals in the match.
